Radio Advertisement

A wide range of people listen to the radio, all different age ranges and male or female. This is why there is a multitude of different radio channels to choose from.
The main place to hear a radio advertisement is whilst travelling in the car.
To capture the attention of a listener the advert has to be catchy as people usually dismiss the adverts because they’re boring or not interested in buying any of the products being advertised. Therefore the advert has to be creative and be able to catch the attention of the listener.
I was unable to find any radio advertisements for newspapers. However I have looked at the conventions of typical radio adverts and I will consider applying them to my own.

This advert uses humour to catch the listener’s attention. It captures interest from the listener by starting the advert with a sound effect (SFX) of a dialling tone of a phone. The voice over is of Mr T who is a well known celebrity and has a distinctive voice. This is because the television adverts include Mr T therefore the theme is maintained throughout all adverts for this product.
I have noticed that all radio advertisements are short and concise to get the product or idea across to the reader. This is because the listener
